There could only be one choice in the Whisperer house for BOTM, and that was Darren Simpson's second book and new release this week - The Memory Thieves! This book was much anticipated by me after the sheer brilliance of 'Scavengers' and it did not disappoint, filled with all the adventure,mystery and plot twists of book one, with Darren's uncanny ability to weave characters that we care about, in plausible worlds. The result is a brilliant new series for anyone who loves DOWK and Tom Gates style humour. With easy to read font and lots of illustrations to keep reluctant readers interested, my own test audience of 11 and 12 year olds has pronounced this series a winner :)
