Can there be anyone in the universe that has not yet discovered the sheer joy and brilliance of Kes Gray and @_jimField Oi series of books? Oi Cat! has been a favourite in our school library and I'm not sure who enjoys them more - the children or me :D
The sheer brilliance of this series is the rhyming within, and the crazy funny combinations of what makes an appropriate seat for each animal. The kids will be in stitches as they learn that a Pony should sit on Macaroni, an Alpaca a Cream Cracker, and a Lark (complete with diving mask and snorkel) should sit on a shark!
Jim Field''s illustrations are a highlight throughout, full of colour and small details that will bring a rainbow of joy to your reading experience.
Perfect for new readers, the rhyming throughout makes it easier for them to guess what the word might be as they're sounding out, although you'll be reading it so much they'll soon know it by heart!!
